Everlasting Moments

This gentle, lovely film tells of Maria, a working-class woman in early twentieth-century Malmo, who finds photography a consolation from her unhappy and difficult home life. A fellow photographer provides romantic interest, and veteran director Troell imbues the film with a marvellously detailed sense of time and place.

‘A masterpiece’ claims Philip French in The Observer.
