At a Strasbourg cafe a young artist waits for a mysterious girl he glimpsed years before. This almost silent film follows him as he searches and sketches the faces of the crowds in his search for his lost ideal. A purely cinematic treatment of a theme which borders on voyeurism and surveillance.
