Lion’s Den

Julia is pregnant and in prison after being charged with murder. The film is about what it is like to raise a child in prison, and about Julia’s development as a fiercely protective mother. Under Argentine law, an inmate who gives birth in prison keeps her baby, but has to live with it in the maternity wing till it is four, when it is taken from her. The deadline approaches, and Julia becomes increasingly determined to keep her son.
