Based on a script of Jacques Tati, this animation tells of an old, struggling illusionist
who is befriended by a young woman. She becomes convinced that he really has
magical powers. A father–daughter relationship develops between them. Tati hoped
the script would lead to a reconciliation with his estranged daughter and that they
would co-star but it didn’t turn out that way.
